What Is My Local Impact?
My Local Impact is a personal dashboard that tracks every pound you spend through SHOCAL and shows you the real difference you are making to local businesses in your community.
When you log in and visit the My Local Impact page, you will see your total contribution to the local economy, how many orders you have placed, and the number of local businesses you have supported.
Earn Badges and Hit Milestones
We have added a bit of fun to shopping local. As you support more businesses, you will earn badges and unlock milestones:
- First Order - Welcome to the local shopping community
- Local Explorer - Try 5 different local businesses
- Century Club - Spend over £100 with local independents
- Community Champion - Reach £500 in local spending
Each milestone you hit is a genuine achievement. You are not just collecting badges - you are helping real businesses pay real wages to people in your community.
See Where Your Money Goes
The dashboard breaks down your spending by category. Whether you are ordering takeaways, buying from local shops, or grabbing tickets to events, you can see exactly how your support is distributed.
You will also see your favourite store - the local business you have supported the most. It is a nice reminder of the relationships you are building with independents in your area.
Share Your Impact
Proud of your contribution? You can share your local impact stats on social media and encourage friends to shop local too. The more people who support independents, the stronger our high streets become.
How to Access It
My Local Impact is available to all SHOCAL users. Simply log in to your account and tap on My Local Impact in the menu. Your stats update automatically every time you place an order.
